Quinta da Samoqueirinha is located at less than 10 minutes' drive from Vila Nova de Milfontes and its sandy beaches. It is a 9-bedroom lodge, with a lovely swimming pool, set in 25 acres of land, featuring an amazing garden surrounded by ridges, cliffs and waterfalls, woodland and flatter open countryside. The lodge combines traditional and modern architecture offering its guests true Portuguese rustic charm.
Our pool is 11 metres long, it has lovely sun-loungers and big comfy mattresses laid out on the lawn. It is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon taking in the rays of sun or relaxing in a shady spot.
The grounds at Quinta da Samoqueirinha display a wild, mature and diversified flora. The property is set in 25 acres of private land, offering a unique opportunity to go walking or just have a quiet rest under the shade of an olive tree.
Every day from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. we open the doors, or rather the gates, to those who want to get to know and pet our farm animals. From the donkey, the pony, the cow, the goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and the chickens among others. They are all very friendly and welcome visitors.
The activities with the horses are carried out in the farm and in the surrounding area. We have various options to suit both adults and children, with and without riding experience.
The concept tends to follow the "natural horsemanship" which allows the horses to live in the most natural way possible. We look for a harmonious and clear communication with them.
The idea is to make it possible for the customers to not only know more about this amazing animal and but also to provide a good time for those taking part.
